Good Food Review | NuevaAugust 20, 2018 0 By Kamalika Anand
In this article, I’m going to review a South American, Peruvian fine dining restaurant- Nueva Bar & Dining, New Delhi.
I’ve been here only once and I was instantly impressed with the ambiance, the courteous staff and as we got to order, the food. I love how they’ve done their kitchen.
A good place to go for dinner on a Saturday night with friends.
It’s common among fine dining restaurants to serve small appetizers.
As the name suggests, to stimulate your appetite, before the main course and Nueva successfully does so by serving this tasteful, mini appetizer.

This combination of bread and butter was different from what you usually see in restaurants but it was a letdown. Now I don’t know how you’d like your bread but it wasn’t crisp and warm enough for me.
Good Food Review: What Did I Order?
Chicken Limon Piccata
Ever been in a situation when you have absolutely no idea how a dish would taste like but you go with your instinct and order it? This is what I experienced with this dish and it came out amazing. It is a richly flavored dish and is something I would recommend you try.
Nuestra Paella means “Our Paella” in Spanish. Paella is a rice dish with saffron, chicken and/or seafood, cooked and served in a large pan.
The first time I ever heard about this dish was in a Bollywood film, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and wanted to try it ever since. I’d say it’s worth a try, the warm saffrony taste just melts in your mouth accompanied by the taste of a mix of prawn, chicken, and chorizo.
Disclaimer: I’d suggest you to cross check with the person taking your order about the chorizo if you want to avoid having pork in your dish.

Tallaríne Salsa Roja
This is your classic spaghetti with chicken cooked in a tomato based sauce. Should be your go-to dish if you want to play safe and order something you would be more familiar with.
Now I didn’t get a chance to order dessert but these little chocolates covered in coconut shavings work their magic!
A perfect end to a perfect meal!
We had ordered a total of three main dishes and we weren’t disappointed with the food but with the service.
We really had to wait for our dishes to be served, probably because it was a busy Saturday night but other than that- no complaints.
Nueva, true to its name, has given us all foodies a chance to explore something new in the culinary world by treating our taste buds to what it has to offer.

About The Author
Kamalika Anand, 20. Expressing my love for food in the most clichéd way possible here. Food makes me happy. It has managed to keep me engaged and excited throughout, unlike all other hobbies I’ve had since childhood. I believe one can create magic in a kitchen with a handful of ingredients or simply by being open to tasting all kinds of food the world has to offer, starting now. I hope through this blog, none of its readers ever have to sit in a cafe or a restaurant in Delhi, flipping through a menu card, unable to decide what to order.
